Troopers have identified the three Illinois men killed, when a 1984 Ford Mustang spun out of control in Lake County Wednesday evening.
The crash happened on the Wekiva River Road near State Road 46, just before 6:00 p.m., authorities said.
The deceased are: 44-year-old Ronald Horton of Camp Grove, Illinois, the driver of the Mustang and his two passengers, 36-year-old Michael Sievert and 28-year-old Drew Bannister.
Troopers said, Horton was heading northbound on Wekiva River Road, when for an unknown reason he lost control and traveled into the southbound lanes. Â A pick-up truck, hauling a boat, was traveling in the southbound lane and its front T-boned the Mustang on the right side.
Horton, who was not wearing a seatbelt was ejected from the Mustang, and was pronounced dead at the scene. Â Sievert and Bannister, also not wearing seatbelts, died at the scene. Â According to news reports, the hood of the Mustang was down when the crash occurred. Â Troopers said, a dog in the Mustang, also died as a result of the crash.
Troopers are seeking to determine whether or not alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash.
Keven Murphy, 37, of Sanford, the driver of the pick-up truck sustained minor injuries.
