Troopers have identified the three Illinois men killed, when a 1984 Ford Mustang spun out of control in Lake County Wednesday evening.

The deceased are: 44-year-old Ronald Horton of Camp Grove, Illinois, the driver of the Mustang and his two passengers, 36-year-old Michael Sievert and 28-year-old Drew Bannister.

Troopers said, Horton was heading northbound on Wekiva River Road, when for an unknown reason he lost control and traveled into the southbound lanes.  A pick-up truck, hauling a boat, was traveling in the southbound lane and its front T-boned the Mustang on the right side.

Horton, who was not wearing a seatbelt was ejected from the Mustang, and was pronounced dead at the scene.  Sievert and Bannister, also not wearing seatbelts, died at the scene.   According to news reports, the hood of the Mustang was down when the crash occurred.   Troopers said, a dog in the Mustang, also died as a result of the crash.

Troopers are seeking to determine whether or not alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash.

Keven Murphy, 37, of Sanford, the driver of the pick-up truck sustained minor injuries.
