Thirty-one people were arrested in an undercover operation targeting online prostitution, Polk County Sheriff’s deputies said.
The operation, which began on December 1 thorugh December 3, involved detectives answering online advertisment posted on websites such as Craigslist, Backpage and CityVibe. Detectives also posted their own ficitious ads on websites.

Investigators said, the 31 suspects were arrested on a varitey of charges, most of them for the solicitation of prostitution and some for drug-related charges. According to deputies, several of the suspects admitted to advertising sex on line as being their main source of income.
