A theft suspect is being sought by local law enforcement after stealing a wallet from a Publix shopper’s cart in Central Florida.
This suspect pretended he was shopping at Publix at Halifax Plantation Village in Volusia County, but really he was stalking a senior citizen while she shopped according to law enforcement.
The victim’s purse was in the upper basket of her cart. When she turned away and left her cart unattended, he stole her wallet.
He later used her credit cards in Flagler County.
According to the Volusia Sheriff’s Office, he was driving a white full-size SUV, possibly a Hyundai Palisade.
