Americans all across the country strongly rebuked President Barack Obama and the Democratic Party giving Republicans control of the U.S. House of Representatives.
While there was much criticism by Republicans of the government leading up to election on the size of the national debt, health care reform and perceived tax increases, the GOP “Pledge to America” contained little by way of specifics and more particularly, lacked any agenda speaking to communities of color in the United States.
According to businessinsider.com, the Heritage Foundation, the leading conservative think-tank has set out a number of proposals to help the GOP which would see spending gutted by $343 billion, including cuts to food stamps, veterans, job training programs, community development programs, education and more.
