Three new attractions will open on International Drive in the Spring of 2015, officials announced Wednesday.
Called I-Drive 360, the centerpiece of the project will be The Orlando Eye, a 400-foot observation wheel which will provide breathtaking views of Central Florida in all directions within fully enclosed, air-conditioned glass capsules. The Orlando Eye will be a little sister icon to London’s world-famous landmark.
The two other attractions are Madame Tussauds, a wax museum, and SEA LIFE Orlando, an aquarium. Numerous shopping and dining options will compliment the attractions at the complex.
Merlin, the second largest visitor attraction operator in the world and U.K.-based family entertainment company, is spearheading the project. All three attractions are scheduled to open in Spring 2015. The group already operates LEGOLAND Florida, a theme park that uniquely targets families with children, which opened in 2011.
