Here in the land of contradictions, there’s a big ass piece of subterfuge afoot. You know the kind: trickery, intrigue, deviousness, deceit, deception, dishonesty, cheating, duplicity, guile, cunning, craftiness, chicanery, sleaze, a la Orlando style. (I hope I didn’t miss any).
But this time, none other than the esteemed trickster, Scott Randolph himself, is serving it up, secretly stashed in the Maguire buildings deal (read more here).
It’s either a bad deal or it’s not and someone needs to get his or his story straight (kinda makes you miss the good ol’ Earl K. days, where, no matter what, at least the story was straight).
But, this is the new and improved Scott Randolph.
In a better suit.
Folks, what we are seeing now is Grandmaster Scott, equipped with a multi-million dollar budget, a $3G’s + a-week salary, and a nearly clean conscience from the way he singlehandedly destroyed the Orange County Democrats.
The back-story in this latest round of Randolph bullshit, as always, is hidden, but here is what we know so far (Click Link).
Full Disclosure: Orange County does not need a tax collector especially when we already have the very, very capable and very, very qualified Martha Haynie as Orange County Comptroller. If we’re really running the lean, mean business machine of Orange County & company, why the redundancy?
We don’t need a divisive, vitriolic, overly sensitive Scott Randolph in a role as tax collector.
We certainly don’t need a man whose skills at racial divisiveness are well-known to people of color.
The hit put out on the brown-skinned Rick Singh is a case in point. But Randolph isn’t the only culprit here.
The legacy of Orange County racism still haunts policy and life in the County today.
And no, you’re not supposed to talk about it, because after all, its unpleasant and the good folks of Orange County don’t like hearing about it.
But, be aware that the so-called progressive moniker worn by Mr. Randolph is a complete farce.
If there is one thing Mr. Randolph has proven to voters and his other victims over the years is that he is not to be trusted and certainly not to be relied on. Just ask the folks in Eatonville, where he is still despised. Local Democrats in Orange County have witnessed his wrecking ball approach to the Orange County Democratic Party, and have now drunkenly placed this man in office as Tax Collector.
So, one must ask, what is his real agenda? Who is he really working for? Maybe he’s a Republican in drag, the perfect Trojan horse politician for the Florida GOP.
And that progressive thing? Pay it no mind. As we have seen here at WONO, it won’t be too long after this piece is published that his nasty little cabal of snot-nosed, wannabe progressives will be out with the pitchforks calling us the ‘N’ word and dishing out that unique form of Randolph vindictiveness reserved for his non-white critics, as evidenced in the Rick Singh attacks this weekend.
Anyway, whichever way the Maguire thing goes, you can be sure something sleazy is at play and if we’ve seen anything from Scott Randolph, that’s where he really likes to get down.
