Deputies believe that the passenger in a pickup truck likely shot and killed a 24-year-old man as he left a party at The Gatherings apartments, early on Saturday morning.
Cell phone video obtained by detectives shows a late-model light-colored pickup truck and a passenger in the vehicle firing a weapon. Investigators believe that the passenger is Brandon Benjamin’s killer.
Benjamin was caught up in an argument as he left a party at 3852 Gathering Drive off University Boulevard, shortly before he was shot and killed.
A red Honda Civic is also seen driving away on the cell phone video, at approximately 08 seconds.
Orange County detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying the passenger in the pick-up truck, as well as the driver who is described as a Hispanic male.

Investigators would also like to talk with the driver of the red Honda Civic regarding any information he or she can provide regarding Benjamin’s fatal shooting.
