Remember Tom Feeney?
Yeah, that Tom Feeney. You know, the one whose ethics violations stemmed from his relationship with convicted lobbyist Jack Abramoff and three trips he took in apparent violation of House travel and gift rules.
The same Tom Feeney who was named by the Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington‘s 2005, 2006, and 2007 congressional corruption reports. Mr. Feeney was named “one of the most corrupt members of Congress” for four years in a row.
Well, he’s coming to the aid of Teresa Jacobs, as in fundraising aid.  According to the Orlando Sentinel, good old Tom will be hosting a fundraiser for Ms. Jacobs in her bid to be Orange County’s next mayor. One has to wonder whether Ms. Jacobs will tap felon Jack Abramoff for a few bucks as well.
This looks bad. I wonder if her supporters realize.
Why would Jacobs have her campaign mentioned in the same sentence as Tom Feeney? Beats the hell of of me. But, one thing for certain, this sure looks bad and tarnishes the squeaky clean image that Ms. Jacobs has tried to portray.
Is she that desperate?
The Feeney name, tarnished with cronyism and unethical behavior, is certainly a name that Ms. Jacobs would not want to be associated with. Right?
