A 14-year-old Winter Haven girl is still missing.
Lorei M. Parkins, 14, was last seen at her Winter Haven home around 6:00 a.m. on Saturday. It is not clear whether she left on foot or if she was picked up by someone.
Concern grows as Parkins left without her medication and recently, she threatened to harm herself.
Police said, Parkins is a habitual runaway and has been known to frequent online dating sites posing as a 19-year-old using an alias, “Lexie.”
Police also said, in December 2011, a man, Jonathan C. Sampson, 25, who Parkins met through an online video game console, had come from Ohio to take her out of state. Officers recovered her before she left the state with Sampson.
And in October 2011, Parkins was recovered by the St. Petersburg Police after she left Polk County with Matthew B. Calvin of Auburndale whom she met through an online dating service.
Parkins continues to represent herself as an 18 or 19 year-old and still reportedly frequents online dating sites.
Anyone with information regarding Parkins’ whereabouts is asked to call Detective Samantha Phillips at 863-291-5334 or the Winter Haven Police
Department at 863-401-2256.
