Orange County deputies are working to defuse a situation with a barricaded suspect on the county’s east side.
Deputies were called to a home in the 1000 block on Billingshurst Court, near South Chickasaw Trail and El Trado Avenue around 3:00 a.m. on Tuesday. A 16-year-old boy, told deputies his brother was holding several persons inside and that he had a firearm and possibly other weapons.
Deputies also said, they have been negotiating with the the suspect and are talking to him “as much as he has been willing to talk to them.”
“Our goal, our goal is to end this peacefully. We feel that is still the objective. We feel it is still possible,” said OCSO official Jeff Williamson, cfnews13.com reports. “So as the negotiation continues, we hope to talk the suspect out and get everyone out of the house safely.”
It is believed that there are at least four other people inside the residence, authorities said.
