A teen was arrested in a smoke shop burglary in Central Florida.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office responded to a burglary at a smoke shop in Tampa.
When deputies arrived at Atomic Smoke Shop on West Hillsborough Avenue, they discovered the front window had been shattered.
Surveillance footage showed a suspect breaking the glass, forcibly entering the business, and stealing nearly $5,000 worth of merchandise, then exiting the broken window with the items in a backpack.
During the investigation, the teen suspect was identified.
Detectives arrested 17-year-old Cayden Goldberg. He faced felony charges including: Burglary of an Unoccupied Structure (x2), Grand Theft Third Degree While Wearing a Mask ($750–$5,000), and Criminal Mischief ($1,000 or more)
“Our deputies acted swiftly to identify the suspect and hold him accountable,” said Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister. “We remain committed to protecting our local businesses and ensuring those who break the law face consequences.”
