A teen who was arrested in October for posing as a physician’s assistant assistant, was again arrested in Miami Thursday.
Matthew Scheidt, 18, was busted on South Beach on Thursday morning and charged with impersonating an officer, the miamiherald reports. He was carrying a handgun at the time of his arrest.
Scheidt was also charged with carrying a concealed firearm and a concealed weapon.
Last October, Kissimmee police charged Scheidt with two counts of impersonating a phyician’s assistant and four counts of practicing medicine without a license. On that occasion, Scheidt was able to obtain hospital credentials as a physician’s assistant, interviewed patients and looked at confidential records over a two-week period. He even performed physical examinations on patients and worked in the emergency room of the hospital for a week.
Scheidt was booked into a Miami-Dade Jail on $11,000 bond, the miamiherald reports.
