A Winter Springs teacher was arrested on Friday, accused of sending hundreds of inappropriate emails to a 14-year-old girl.
Daniel Kelley, 26, a teacher at Bridges Academy, a private school in Winter Springs, was taken into custody and booked into the Seminole County Jail.
An alert parent who found disturbing e-mails while monitoring his 14-year-old daughter’s account, called investigators. Â The girl is enrolled at the school where Kelley taught.
Investigators said, hundreds of inappropriate emails were exchanged between the teen and Kelley from May to early September.
Kelley, who was charged with transmitting harmful information a minor and using a computer to seduce a minor, has since bonded out of jail.
The Seminole County Sheriff’s Office urged parents to remain vigilant and active in monitoring their child’s e-mail and social media activities, after Kelley’s arrest.
