Tampa Bay Buccaneers Celebrate Playoffs with City Banner Drop

Mayor Jane Castor and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are celebrating the NFL team’s post season success with a banner drop on Tuesday, January 9th at 10am.




The Tampa Bay Buccaneers clinched their third straight NFC South title and fourth consecutive playoff run.

Buccaneers banner dropMayor Castor, joined by Brian Ford, Chief Operating Officer of the Buccaneers, and Captain Fear, will ascend to the top of the Tampa Municipal Operations Building in a Tampa Fire Rescue bucket truck and unveil the Buccaneers banner at the drop to kick off the playoff season.

The Buccaneers Street Team and cheerleaders will also be in attendance to help celebrate with souvenirs on hand to get fans pumped up for their first playoff game.

“It’s time to raise the flags and rally our support for our incredible Buccaneers,” said Mayor Jane Castor. “Let’s show our team the unwavering spirit of Tampa Bay and cheer them on to victory!”

In addition to the Buccaneers banner drop, Old City Hall will be lit up in red various nights throughout the week of January 8th to show support for the Buccaneers during their playoff run.
