Boston bomber Tamerlan Tsarnaev has finally been laid to rest, according to news reports.
Worcester police confirmed that Tsarnaev has been “entombed,” but did not disclose the precise location, only saying that it was outside of the city of Worcester, boston.com reported.
“As a result of our public appeal for help a courageous and compassionate individual came forward to provide the assistance needed to properly bury the deceased,” Worcester police said in a statement this morning. “His body is no longer in the city of Worcester and is now entombed.”
At least four cemeteries, as well as the cities of Cambridge and Boston refused to accept the body of Tsarnaev, boston.com also reported.
Tamerlan Tsarnaev, 26, was killed in a fierce shootout with law enforcement on April 19 in Watertown. His younger brother, Dzhokhar Tsarneav fled the scene, but not before running over Tamerlan with the vehicle he was driving. Dzhokhar was caught hiding in a boat later that day.
