A woman carrying a sword on the grounds of an Orange County private school was arrested on Wednesday morning, Orange County deputies say.
47-year-old Dominique Vianneyte Eloi was taken into custody and charged with possession of a weapon on school grounds, disrupting a school function and aggravated assault with a weapon.
Authorities said, Eloi drove onto the Leaders Preparatory School campus at 1089 North Goldenrod Road around 10:00 a.m. and exited her vehicle with a sword. An employee asked her what she was doing on the property, but Eloi did not respond.
Eloi then entered a nearby mosque which was empty, but left shortly after.
Deputies secured Eloi as she exited the mosque with the sword, which was about 2 feet in length.
Leaders Preparatory School was placed on lockdown by the school principal during the incident and no one was hurt.
Deputies are interviewing witnesses as part of the investigation, which is ongoing.
