Sweetbay Supports Struggling Moms

This holiday season, Sweetbay Supermarket is helping local mothers with a program called Sweetbay Supports Moms. Community members are encouraged to visit either Sweetbay in Clermont from December 10-14 to donate baby items.   Sweetbay will match the value of donated products to support local moms!

imageSweetbay“We know that families are struggling to pay for the bare necessities, such as diapers, during these touch economic times,” said Nicole LeBeau with Sweetbay. “We heard the cry for help and we are reacting in our community. Even the smallest donation can help a family!”

Bins will be available in Sweetbay at 1718 East Highway 50 and 1714 US Highway 27 to collect donations of anything from baby food and diapers to teething toys and lotions.

Items collected will be distributed to local mothers in need through Haley’s House Maternity Home and the Lake County Schools Teen Parent Program. Haley’s House is a local non-profit, community-based organization providing underprivileged mothers with a temporary housing facility and baby amenities. The Lake County Schools Teen Parent Program is an educational program designed to provide a specialized curriculum for students who are pregnant or parenting and also for the children of these students.
