A man who threatened to commit suicide on Tuesday was shot by a member of the SWAT Team when he made a threatening move, Orlando Police said.
Eric G. Chenowith, 41 years, was sitting on a park bench at 2185 Lake Debra in Orlando and threatening to take his life detectives say. Chenowith had in his possession multiple guns, including a shotgun.
Police say that Chenowith made a threatening move and was shot by a SWAT Team member. He was transported to the Orlando Regional Medical Center and is in stable condition.
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) is investigating the circumstances surrounding the officer involved shooting.
