Police are searching for two suspects who posed as workers from the city “utility” company and forced their way into the homes of two elderly women on October 28.
The first victim, an 88-year-old woman living on Park Lake Street, was held hostage and terrorized in her own home while the suspects stole cash and valuables.
Later that day, the suspects burglarized an 84-year-old woman’s home on Pender way. Two men again, posed as utility workers–one lured the woman outside her home while the other suspect stole valuables from her home.
Police believe given the similarities of these two cases, the suspects might be the same people.
The suspects are described as white males. Suspect #1 is shorter than suspect #2 and is heavier and approximately 40 to 50 years old. Suspect #2 is tall and slender.
The suspects’ vehicle used at Pender Way was a silver four-door car. The vehicle used in the Park Lake Street burglary was a dark-colored pick-up truck, possibly a new model Chevy, with a bed cover. The actual suspect truck at Park Lake Street was captured on video.
