Suspect Arrested for Central Florida 7-Eleven Shooting

A suspect was arrested for a Central Florida 7-Eleven shooting that started as a verbal altercation.




Sanford Police Officers recently arrested Zeidan Markel McKever in connection to a shooting in the parking lot of 7-Eleven. Police officers responded to reports of shots fired in the area of 2700 W 25th Street.

The subsequent investigation revealed that McKever was with a group of people, and they all engaged in a verbal altercation with the victim, Terrance Jerard Riggins.

According to local law enforcement, during the altercation, McKever used a firearm to shoot at Terrance, who shot back at McKever with his own firearm. Both individuals sustained gunshot injuries and were treated at local hospitals. The victim was in critical condition at the hospital at the time of a recent police update on the Central Florida case.

Zeidan McKever was arrested by Sanford Police Investigators and booked on charges of Criminal Mischief and Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon, at the John E. Polk Correctional Facility.
