A suspect was arrested for attempted murder following a stabbing in Central Florida that caused serious injuries to a victim.
Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office deputies recently responded to a call regarding a possible altercation in the 12000 block of University Club Drive in Tampa. Once on scene, deputies located a victim who had been stabbed in the upper body, causing great bodily harm. The victim was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.
Through investigative means, detectives identified 22-year-old Curtez Frazier as a suspect in the stabbing. Frazier was taken into custody without incident.
Frazier is facing an Attempted Murder in the First Degree with a Weapon charge.
Fraizer was released from the Florida Department of Corrections on February 6, 2025, after serving three years for charges including Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon and Felon in Possession of a Firearm.
“This was a violent and deliberate act, and there is no place for that in our community,” said Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister. “Thanks to the determined efforts of our deputies and detectives, a dangerous individual is now behind bars and facing justice.”
This is an ongoing investigation, according to local law enforcement.
