Valentine’s Day is quickly approaching and many people wish they could work up the nerve to ask out that special someone. According to a recent online omnibus survey by TNS, more than half of the people surveyed (54 percent) agree that sometimes it is hard to tell if it is just a friendship or if someone wants more, and 40 percent say they have been too nervous to tell someone they like them.
Other survey highlights include:
- Half of Americans (51 percent) wish there was an easy way to tell someone they are interested in them, and men are significantly more likely than women to wish this (56 percent vs. 46 percent).
- Half of Americans (51 percent) wish there was an emotionally low-risk way to express their feelings for someone, with men significantly more likely than women to report this (56 percent vs. 47 percent)
- Four in ten Americans (39 percent) wish there was an anonymous way to tell someone they are interested in them
But, just in time for Valentine’s Day, a new Facebook and mobile app, SlipperFits, has set out to help anyone who has a Facebook crush.
SlipperFits has been created to allow users to express their interest in Facebook friends safely, according to the founders.
