SunRail Advertises Station Finishes Contract

On Tuesday, the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) advertised a Request for Proposals for the first of two Station Finishes construction contracts for Central Florida’s SunRail project.

The services to be performed under this contract involve the station finishes of seven (7) stations for the Central Florida Commuter Rail Transit (CFCRT) system. The station finishes construction includes parking areas; landscaping; drainage; roadway improvements; and canopy supports. Other work efforts include the procurement and installation of various components including canopies, electrical, utility connections, pavers, trash cans, benches, and passenger systems including CCTVs, Passenger Assistance Telephones, and audio visual system.

Technical proposals are due by November 7, 2011.

On September 2, FDOT advertised a Request for Proposals for Public Involvement/Marketing Services associated the SunRail project. Written proposals from qualified potential vendors to provide Public Involvement and Marketing Services should be submitted by September 23, 2011. The employee classifications under the Public Involvement/Marketing Services are:

– SunRail Project Public Involvement Manager
– Marketing and Advertising Coordinator
– Public Information Officer/Coordinator
– Marketing & Public Information Assistant Researcher
– Marketing & Public Information Aid Event Staffer
– Aministrative Assistant/Clerical
– Website Operator/Designer
– Videographer
– Digital Media/Video Editor
– Still Photography/Photographer
– Graphic Artist
– On Air Talent

It is anticipated that the term of the contract will begin in November 2011.
