Spirit Airlines Cuts Routes from Orlando International Airport

According to reports, Spirit Airlines will be cutting flight routes from Orlando International Airport (MCO) next month.

Flights to Phoenix, Arizona, Raleigh/Durham, North Carolina, Windsor Locks, Connecticut, and San Salvador, El Salvador from MCO are reportedly being removed, unknown when or if they will return to Orlando.

The reports are the discount airline will also cut service between Cleveland and Tampa, and Milwaukee and Fort Myers.

Estimates would put the loss of these routes at several thousand departing and arriving travelers in and out of Orlando and Central Florida.

Spirit Airlines will soon offer nonstop flights to Tampa from San Antonio International Airport next year, from January 11th through April 5th.
