A group of folks in Washington D.C. is planning to dump their trash at House Speaker John Boehner’s (R-Ohio) Capitol Hill home.
Why?
Because if the government is shutdown, trash collection services in the District of Columbia, would come to a standstill. And so residents in the capital city are outraged.
The group, called “If Boehner shutdown the government I am taking my trash to his house,” is organized around a simple principle that, “if he (Boehner) won’t allow us to use OUR TAX DOLLARS to pick it up, maybe we should just BRING IT TO HIM.”
As of noon on Thursday, about 900 people had signed up to dump their garbage.
