On May 20th Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer, Orange County Mayor Richard Crotty, and Senator Lee Constantine will host a ribbon cutting for the new Orange County Climate Change Education Center. This will be followed by a kick-off ceremony for the new 1 megawatt solar array located atop the Orange County Convention Center.
During the event, the system will be powered up for the first time making it the largest solar array in the Southeast. The solar array is larger than five football fields and will supply the convention center with 1,300 megawatt-hours of electricity per year.
