Sanford Mayor Jeff Triplett and Sanford City Commissioners will be joining the IBI Group (Florida) Inc. for the Groundbreaking of the Southgate Development, Wednesday, December 12 at 4:00 pm at the Southwest Corner of St. Johns Parkway & Rinehart Road.
Southgate will be a mixed-use development community with commercial businesses and 360 residential, multi-family rental units. The multi-family units will be constructed by Greystar Multi-Family Developers. New restaurants included in this development project are, Longhorn Steakhouse, Carrabbas, Buffalo Wild Wings, and Cheddars.
“We are excited in having the ability to deliver over 500 hundred temporary jobs and 750 permanent jobs. In addition, with nearly $70,000,000 worth of construction and land cost, there will be dramatic increases in various City, County and State taxes. The economic benefits both in the short and long range should be a benefit to the area and the City of Sanford,” said Rick Wohlfarth, Lead Engineer, IBI Group (Florida) Inc.
