A man was arrested Tuesday, after police say he stole the corpse of his 93-year-old father from a cemetery.
Clarence Bright’s son and another man, were taken into custody after investigators found them with an empty casket in a van near a gas station in East Detroit, the Detroit Free Press reported.
Witnesses told investigators they saw a van pull up outside the mausoleum where Clarence Bright’s body was stored, before it went missing.
Authorities later tracked down Bright’s body and found it in a new freezer in the basement of a home where his 48-year-old son lives in Eastlawn, the Detroit Free Press also reported.
