The son of a video store owner was shot and killed in an armed robbery in Haines City on Friday morning, and the public’s help is needed in apprehending these criminals.
20-year-old Jaime Magana, Jr., was killed after two men, brandishing a handgun, entered the Video Latino store at 1719 Hinson Avenue in Haines City, Polk County Sheriff’s deputies said.
The suspects, two black males, entered the store around 9:30 a.m., shortly after it was open for business at 9:00 a.m. Surveillance video captured the images of both suspects as they struggled with Magana, and removed cash from the register. Magana was found dead inside the store.
One of the suspects, taller than the second, wore a white t-shirt with lettering on the front. He also wore a Florida Marlin’s cap, sunglasses, and blue jeans.
The second black male wore a long sleeve, dark colored hoodie style shirt, jeans and a camouflage style cap with text.
