A woman who struck and killed a 22-year-old man on U.S. 1, could face additional drug charges, as pills and a crack pipe were found in her vehicle, police said.
Stephen Michael Wilson, 22, of New Smyrna Beach, was struck and killed by Jody Ann Arcuri, 31, of Ormond Beach, as she headed north on U.S. 1, on Monday, police also said.
According to The Daytona Beach News Journal, investigators don’t know yet whether Wilson was on his skate board when he was struck and killed, given conflicting witness statements.
Arcuri has been charged with felony possession of drugs. Other charges could follow, based on toxicology results, police said.
Arcuri was Baker Acted as she threatened to harm herself, according to news reports.
