Sen. Gary Siplin (D-Orlando) is hosting job fairs in both Sanford and Orlando.
Several employers are expected to participate including the Florida Department of Transportation, that leads the SunRail project in Sanford. Others include: Florida Department of Children and Families, Goodwill, Hilton Orlando and Verizon Wireless.
While it is unclear how many jobs are up for grabs, Siplin said he encourages all residents in need of employment to attend the job fairs and meet potential employers.
“When a large number of constituents inform me that they are in need of a job, I must make my best efforts in assisting them,” he said. “This is a great opportunity where employers have agreed to come together in both Sanford and Orlando, to get our Floridians back to work.”
