Siplin Era is Over

Black and White Orlando took a collective sigh of relief last night as scandal-ridden, Democrat in name only, Tea Party favorite Gary Siplin and his wife, Victoria Siplin, were defeated for the Senate District 12.

Rep. Geraldine Thompson delivered the beat down that all had hoped for, but none expected, considering Mr. Siplin’s long standing corrupt relationships with many of the areas’ churches.

“This is a victory for the people,” beamed outgoing State Rep. Thompson.  Indeed, many thought Thompson would be crushed by the well-oiled Siplin machine, who despite arrests, scandals and other accusations managed to get re-elected, ultimately terming out in 2012.

Siplin’s wife, Victoria, the actual candidate was touted as a rags-to-riches story, in a Marco Rubio-style political ad, but most saw through that.  In fact no one had ever heard Mrs. Siplin speak as she avoided every single public appearance, debate and candidates’ forum during the cycle.

Thompson, who faces token Republican opposition in Fritz Jackson Seide in the November General Election, is expected to return to Tallahassee, continuing to advocate for good public education and jobs, on behalf of the people of Senate District 12.

  1. Rep. Geraldine Thompson has served the community well during her years in the public eye. Her servitude was a struggle because of the republican controlled house. We must work to support Rep. Thompson in the community which will give her strength as she enters into the Senate Chambers. This is a team effort.
