A simple pedestrian violation turned violent for a local deputy in Central Florida.
A Polk County Sheriff’s Office deputy recently stopped the man on Maine Avenue in Lakeland after he committed a minor pedestrian violation. But the suspect lied, ran away, and then tried to fight a deputy.
