Units responded to 606 Lee Rd to the Country Side Inn to assist a State Probation Officer with a VOP warrant arrest of Melissa Schneider W/F 05-21-87. Units went to room 265 and saw a white male remove a long case from the front window area. The white male clearly saw the deputies. Units thought the case could hold a long gun. A perimeter was established and adjacent rooms above and next to target room were evacuated. Intel developed the name of the W/M as Jonathan Kokontis 03-14-89. Kokontis had an active felony warrant for Fleeing and Alluding. Telephone contact was made and after 25 minutes, Cpl. George Wood was able to talk them out of the room without further incident. A 12 gauge shot gun was recovered from the room. Major Black was notified and Call #1417 Lt. Paul Yoast
