The Orange County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO) opened a new substation near SeaWorld on Wednesday.

The sub-station is located in a small office building at 6817 Westwood Boulevard, in Orange County.  The building was donated by SeaWorld and has a price tag of $145,000 reports orlandosentinel.com.

Orange County Mayor Teresa Jacobs, OCSO Sheriff Jerry Demings, representatives from SeaWorld and other officials attended the ribbon cutting ceremony.

Demings lauded the partnership between SeaWorld and the Sheriff’s Office, which had led to the new substation.

It is expected that the new sub-station will help deter crime and enhance safety within the tourists community.
