Four suspects responsible for several commercial robberies in Orange and Osceola counties are now behind bars. On Tuesday, based on a tip and other means of surveillance, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office conducted a special operation to apprehend the suspects during a robbery in Osceola County. Investigators said, while committing the robberies the suspects were armed with an AK 47 and a pistol.
The four arrestees are responsible for four commercial robberies each in Orange County and Osceola County. Investigators said, the suspects obtained almost $40,000 in cash and used the proceeds to buy a vehicle, motorcycle and scooter.
The businesses robbed included, Charlotte Rouse, Puma Outlet, Ecko Unlimited and Westgate Resorts.
21-year-old Gabriel Alberto Aviles, 22-year-old Miguel Andres Lopez-Vazguez, 20-year-old Luis Manuel O’Neil-Rodriguez and 21-year-old Gary Emmanuel Alvelo-Aponte have been charged with armed robbery with a firearm, aggravated assault with a firearm, grand theft and possession of a firearm during commission of a felony.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Office will hold a media conference later on Thursday to provide more information on the special operation that led to the take down of the suspects.
