Orange County Robbery Investigators advise that an arrest has been made in a string of up to 14 robberies that have occurred in Central Florida during the past several days. A tip resulting from the extensive media coverage given to this case led investigators to a suspect. The suspect was quickly identified, located, and placed under surveillance.
At approximately 5:45 PM yesterday, 10.28.09, the suspect was arrested by the surveillance team on the 1000 block of Oak Street (intersection of Main and Oak) in Osceola County. Investigators have charged the suspect with one count of armed robbery to a Quizno’s store and expect other charges to be forthcoming.
Investigators are conducting a number of photo lineups at this time.
