Seniors First Launches Holiday Gift Drive

Seniors First, Inc., a social service organization dedicated to helping senior citizens remain living independently in their homes, has launched its holiday gift drive: “Operation Warm Fuzzies.” The nonprofit hopes to collect more than 2,000 throw blankets and towels as holiday gifts for its elderly clients. Local businesses, clubs, organizations and individuals are invited to donate during the drive, which runs until Nov. 30, 2012.

“The holidays can be a lonely time for seniors — and many of our clients don’t have friends or family nearby,” said Marsha Lorenz, president and CEO of Seniors First, Inc. “These gifts really help brighten their day and are always appreciated by our clients.”

New towels or towel sets and throw blankets can be dropped off at the Seniors First office at 5395 L.B. McLeod Road; Fields Fiat Orlando at 131 N. Orange Ave.; or the North Orlando Spine Center at 434 S.R. 434, Suite 108 in Longwood. Gifts will also be accepted at the 23rd Annual Turkey Trot, held at Lake Eola on Thanksgiving morning. To print out a Warm Fuzzies gift tag (optional), please visit www.seniorsfirstinc.org.
