Senator Rick Scott Joins Senate DOGE Caucus to Eliminate Government Waste

Florida Senator Rick Scott joined the Senate DOGE Caucus to eliminate government waste, saying it will serve as the “bite” to partner with the “bark” of Trump administration’s Department of Government Efficiency.

Republican Senator Rick Scott, who says he is a leading champion for taxpayers in Washington, announced that he is joining Senator Joni Ernst in the Senate DOGE Caucus, which will work hand in hand with the Trump administration’s recently formed Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) to identify and eliminate government waste.

The newly formed caucus will build upon Senator Scott’s long-time mission to Make Washington Work and expose trillions in waste, fraud and abuse.

“It’s past time for big reforms that scale back big government regulation and get our country back on track,” Florida Senator Rick Scott said. “Our country is drowning in debt and massive government expansion during Democrat control of Washington is pushing us deeper every day. This is a serious threat to our national security and the American Dream, and I believe DOGE is the answer to fixing it. I’ve spent years fighting against waste, fraud, reckless earmarks and political passion projects or personal favors Washington bureaucrats sneak into bills and try to pay for with hard-earned taxpayer money. Thank you to Senator Ernst for starting this caucus. I am looking forward to slashing government waste and delivering for the American people. Let’s get to work!”

“Iowans elected me with a mandate to cut Washington’s pork and make ‘em squeal! From billion-dollar boondoggles to welfare for politicians and trillion-dollar slush funds, my decade-long investigations have exposed levels of abuse that are almost too insane to believe,” Senator Joni Ernst said. “The tables are finally turning, the knives are out, and waste is on the chopping block. As President Trump, Elon Musk, and Vivek Ramaswamy prepare to take action, the Senate DOGE Caucus is ready to carry out critical oversight in Congress and use our legislative force to fight against the entrenched bureaucracy, trim the fat, and get Washington back to work for Americans.”

“We look forward to partnering with the Senate to downsize government,” said Vivek Ramaswamy, co-leader of DOGE. “Grateful to Senator Joni Ernst for her excellent suggestions yesterday.”

Senators Scott and Ernst are working with Florida Representative Aaron Bean and Rep. Pete Sessions, co-chairs of the House DOGE Caucus, and are joined by Republican Senators John Cornyn, Ted Budd, Mike Lee, Roger Marshall, and James Lankford in founding the Senate DOGE Caucus.
