Over 2,000 sixth-grade students from schools throughout Seminole County participated in the program this school year to gain experience in preparing and delivering a speech.

County finalists included:

  • Parth Arora, Lawton Chiles Middle School with “PHOF”
  • Macy Bentley, The Masters Academy with “The Road Trip”
  • Nathan Kreuzer, Holy Cross Lutheran Academy with “The Benefits of Space Exploration”
  • Parsah Mohebpour, Markham Woods Middle School with “Why No Sleep”
  • Abigail Rawls, Double R Private School with “Self Confidence”
  • Caylin Rogers, All Souls Catholic School with “Quitting My Passion”

The first place winner was Macy Bentley; second place, Parsah Mohebpour; and third place, Parth Arora. Winners were determined by judges from FPL and Seminole County Government.

The program culminates in classroom and school competitions, where the top speaker from each school is invited to enter the countywide competition.
