The 26th Annual Seminole County Fair is open to the community at its longtime home at the Seminole Towne Center Mall, in Sanford. The Fair runs through Sunday, March 31st.
Amusement rides, prize filled games, attractions, and traditional carnival foods are planned for the 10-day event. The midway at the Seminole County Fair will be provided by Orlando-based Strates Shows, Inc, which celebrates its 101th anniversary during the 2024-2025 season.
This family-friendly Central Florida event will feature more than 35 state-of-the-art carnival rides including a Kiddieland designed especially for children, and midway favorites like the “Monkey Maze,” “Giant Wheel,” “Sky Flyer,” and the enduring family favorite, the classic American carousel.
For the 26th year, the Seminole County Fair will fresh, tantalizing foods with incredible, mouth-watering aromas in the air. From out-of-this-world funnel cakes dusted with powdered sugar to French fries drizzled with vinegar, fairgoers will be sure to enjoy favorite foods and beverages.
Now entering its quarter century of operation, the modern-era Seminole County Fair was organized by legendary Orlando outdoor amusement impresario E. James Strates and his Strates Shows in the late 1990s.
The history of county fairs in Seminole County can be traced back to the first such event held on First Street in Sanford in 1915. Following World War II, Campbell-Lossing American Legion Post 53 in Sanford, sponsored the Fair from 1948 to 1976. After an 18-year absence, the Seminole County Fair & Exposition made a three-year return between 1994 & 1996 before Strates and his family reestablished the event in 1999 at Seminole Towne Center.
The Seminole County Fair opens at 4pm Monday through Friday and at 2pm on Saturdays and Sundays. Closing times vary based on weather conditions and midway capacity. This year’s Fair will offer FREE parking and FREE gate admission for all patrons. Fairgoers will be able to take advantage of a number of money saving, unlimited ride offers that include:
