Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida recently welcomed three new members to its Board of Directors.
Second Harvest added Jason Schrago, Michael D. Piccolo, and Robert Beckner to its Board of Directors.
As a leader in Central Florida’s commercial real estate market, Schrago brings more than three decades of business experience to this role. With a long history of community service, including serving on the boards of Community Coordinated Care for Children and Habitat for Humanity of Greater Orlando and Osceola County, Schrago looks forward to working with Second Harvest to feed hope across its seven-county coverage area.
“I’m pleased to join Second Harvest’s Board of Directors,” said Schrago. “I embrace this opportunity to forge new community connections that help more of our neighbors access the nutritious foods they need.”
Schrago works at Newmark, a commercial real estate firm in Winter Park. He is a Florida-licensed real estate broker and earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Tampa.
As a Senior Associate at Lowndes, Piccolo brings nearly a decade of legal experience to this role and was named by Best Lawyers as “Ones to Watch” in 2023 and 2024. He is active with the Orange County Bar Association, serving as a Committee Chair for the Young Lawyers Section since 2018.
“The chance to make an impact in our community by addressing food insecurity is very meaningful to me,” said Piccolo. “I’m proud to stand with Second Harvest to continue advocating for equitable access to nutritious foods.”
Piccolo has been practicing law at Lowndes since 2017. He graduated from Florida State University with his juris doctorate and bachelor’s degrees in political science and history.
Beckner serves as a principal of Lightle Beckner Robison, Inc., a commercial real estate agency based in Melbourne. Beckner brings nearly 25 years of commercial real estate experience to this role and has been recognized as a 2024 Platinum Broker by Crexi.
“I look forward to representing Brevard County on Second Harvest’s Board of Directors and playing an active role in developing new opportunities to combat hunger in our area,” said Beckner. “This is a cause that resonates deeply with my values, and I’m grateful to be part of the mission.”
Beckner serves on several community boards including the Coastal Conservation Association Space Coast Chapter and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He is an Eagle Scout and will be competing in the 20th edition of IRONMAN 70.3 Florida.
