The second suspect in the Boston bombing, 19-year-old Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was taken into custody around 8:45 p.m., on Friday evening, according to law enforcement.
Tsarnavev was cornered on a boat in the backyard of a house in Watertown for several hours.
Tsarnaev has unspecified medical needs and is being transported to a local area hospital, according to news reports.
He was whisked away in a police vehicle to loud cheers from the crowd which had gathered several blocks away from the home where he was taken.
Dzhokhar’s brother, Tamerlan Tzarnaev, 26, the other suspect in the Boston bombings, was killed on Thursday night in a firefight with police.
