A suspect has been arrested in the shooting death of another man on Gwynne Avenue eleven days ago and deputies are searching for a second suspect, Orange County deputies said Wednesday.
Jarvis La-Mark Akins, 29, was taken into custody on Tuesday.
Deputies say, Akins is connected to the murder of 36-year-old Edwin B. Roman, a father of three, who was shot dead in front of his home located at 5166 Gwynne Avenue, off Clarcona Ocoee Road, on September 6.
Investigators say, Akins was with a second suspect, a black male, who fled the scene in a dark green Toyota.
A search is on for the vehicle believed to be a 2010-2013 dark green 4-door Toyota with dark tinted windows and gold lettering – Toyota emblem – on the rear of the vehicle.
Investigators have not offered a motive for Roman’s murder.
Detectives are asking any with information about the homicide to call CRIMELINE at 1-800-423-8477.
