Sea turtles and other wildlife in the Gulf of Mexico are being burned by BP, a sea captain said, foxtampabay.com reports.
In an interview posted on You Tube, Captain Mike Ellis says that when the controlled burns to remove the oil are conducted, everything corralled by the boom–oil and wildlife, including sea turtles–is burned.
In the video, Ellis said he was cutting short the planned three-week trip to rescue turtles, as BP was no longer allowing him to rescue turtles, prior to the controlled burns.
