Gov. Rick Scott hosted members of the Legislative Black Caucus (LBC) to lunch at the Mansion on Tuesday, but paid little attention to the concerns raised by the lawmakers. Among the issues raised were Scott’s recommended cuts to historically black colleges, requiring state workers to contribute to their pensions, reducing health care for the poor and even the fact that the governor has not yet appointed any black to run agencies.
Scott told the lawmakers that the doesn’t believe in quotas.
