Conscious Mind Records is hosting a ‘Save Tyler’ Benefit Concert from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., on Saturday, August 13 at the James R. Smith Neighborhood Center on Bruton Blvd.
The day will feature live music and poetry, along with activities for the entire family. Conscious Mind Records will donate 100% of the proceeds made from ticket sales, fundraiser activities, raffles, and vendor table space to the Calci Family.
The Calci’s are a family of seven whose 12 year old son, Tyler, has been diagnosed with and is suffering from Brittle Bone Disease, Muscular Degenerative Disorder, Growth Hormone Deficiency, and Anemia. Recently, doctors have also added Multiple Sclerosis to his list of ailments.
Tyler’s symptoms include: weakened muscles, shortness of breath, numbness in his legs, loss of balance, and extreme pain. Though all of these diseases have different symptoms, when combined, they are a formidable foe against a normally happy young man and his family. The cost of medical treatment and medications is costing this family thousands and has taken a toll on everyone. That is why we are asking the community to come together on this day.
