Sarasota County Woman Won $1 Million Prize Playing Scratch-Off Game

The Florida Lottery recently announced that Gail Riola, of North Port, claimed a $1 million prize from the 500X THE CASH scratch-off game.




The Sarasota County woman chose to receive her winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $640,000.00.

She purchased her winning ticket from RaceTrac, located at 18999 Tamiami Trail in North Port. The retailer received a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning scratch-off ticket.

The Florida winner claimed the prize at the Lottery’s Fort Myers District Office.

The $50 500X THE CASH scratch-off game features a top prize of $25 million, the largest ever offered on a Florida scratch-off game, and the best odds to become an instant millionaire. There is one top prize remaining and many $1 million prizes still remaining.

With more than $1.66 billion in cash prizes, this game’s overall odds of winning are 1-in-4.23.
