The Sanford Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) and the City of Sanford are partnering to reconstruct Sanford Avenue. The redevelopment will consist of new infrastructure (i.e. waterlines, stormwater, electrical), wider sidewalks, landscaping, new historic style lighting, an entry feature, heritage markers and a new brick roadway.
The City of Sanford will be holding a public meeting to discuss the project scope answer questions and provide contact information for the construction. The meeting will be held at City Hall, 6:30 p.m. on August 7, 2013, 300 N. Park Ave. Sanford.
The construction perimeters will be from E. 1st Street to E. 6th Street, building face to building face. As this is mostly commercial property along this corridor, the City will work diligently to maintain access to the businesses and residences. Signs will be posted noting businesses being open and paths being maintained to the buildings.
